I feel like I've been eating a pound of cheese, pizza, and pasta every day for the past month. Oh right, it's because I have been.
The end of summer, a move, and a trip to Italy has left me feeling like I need a bit of a kick in the pants to take care of myself, stop and breathe, and get back on the wagon. I took a liking to eating fresh cheese every day (who wouldn't??) and, of course, when in Rome...
Before I left, I had gotten up to a 20k long run, which was a big deal as it means I'm recovered from my biking accident! Then I ran last week when I got back and it was the hardest 6k ever. I haven't ran since. I did, however, source out some great cheese. Gah.
One things I know that works for my motivation is accountability. And so, to revisit and revamp the 30-day fitness challenge with more specificity, here's what I would LOVE to be able to do: yoga, run, and sun salutations. I tend to be so hit-and-miss with the yoga and running usually becomes my stress-relief crutch but like most runners, I get way to unbalanced and hurt. Please hold me accountable to stick to this!
My mission: 30 days of alternating yoga and running, with daily sun salutations. The biggest challenges I can foresee are a) finding time amid a hectic schedule as I'm sure many of you can relate, and b) getting out the door even on rainy days. Now if you'll excuse me, Sunday yoga is calling.
I challenge myself... a lot.
