How great would it be if we could all do yoga on a beach like this lady?
I don't have a membership to any yoga studio and I prefer throwing my mat on my floor and running a video. The problem is, there's only so many enjoyable yoga videos that one can have. If Rodney Yee had 30 days of individual yoga routines, I'd totally have them (his voice is so calming).
Then I got an app. I'm new to the whole iPhone thing so I forget what this thing does sometimes. It's now my personal yoga trainer. The app is called Yoga Studio (no affiliation whatsoever). If it's flexibility, strength, relaxation, balance, or an integrative routine, it's all there. And in 15-, 30-, and 60-minute lengths, for all levels of experience. I'm also quite picky about the voice of who walks me through the routines and this lady is just lovely!
Yoga studios are wonderful, encouraging, and calming, but for me it takes up a bit of time and takes out the possibility of doing a quick 15 minutes if that's all the time I have before rushing out the door. I'm sure there's oodles of great yoga trainer apps out there and this is the only one I've tried. The point being, if you need some downtime, some extra flexibility, or some overall well-being, it's now easy and attainable.
I challenge myself... a lot.
